Established in Cosby at the end of the Second World War, the Nook Fish Bar has been serving the local residents for nearly 75 years. Following a recent takeover by a new local owner, they commissioned us to modernise the brand whilst still keeping the community feeling that helped build the business.

In July 2019, the Nook Fish Bar in South Leicestershire got in touch seeking a brand new identity for their local fish and chip shop. Having been established in 1945, the Nook Fish Bar had been serving local residents for nearly 75 years and as such, it was key that the traditional, community spirit that helped build the business up was encapsulated within the new logo. With this in mind, alongside the desire for a clean, crisp brand, we helped the Nook Fish Bar create a new logo and brand that is a delicate balance between traditional and modern.

At first glance the new minimalistic white logo brings the modern, crisp brand the new ownership were keen to bring into the local fish and chip shop, whilst the burnt wood / crimson background ensures the long-serving, traditional style is still visible.

Within the logo itself, the simple fish motif paired with the stylish, lowercase, script font continues the smart overall look of the new brand. Within the logo, the small 'Est' mark ensures the traditional feel of the brand is continued, whilst simultaneously paying homage to the Nook Fish Bar's local roots.
