The Challenge

As part of their commitment to educating younger generations, the Jane Goodall Institute founded the Roots and Shoots programme in 1991 to bring together young people to better understand environmental, conservation and humanitarian issues. To mark 25 years of the programme, the charity relaunched a number of its training programmes across multiple UK schools in 2016. Our team support was commissioned to support the relaunch by bringing the resources, both new and old, to life with a fresh visual identity expansion.

The Solution

With the resources being used with children and young people across a wide age-range, we ensured the design was visual-focussed, communicating key points and call-to-actions through imagery and iconography. Using older imagery from the JGI archive we brought it to life with small graphical elements and adjustments. Alongside this, we curated a new iconographic library. The final presentation was delivered via Pitch, our recommended presentation software to ensure future expansions and accompanying slide decks are always kept on-brand.
